Michael Coffey 'El Morro' Desk and 'Matador' Chair, 1974

A well documented and important work by Michael Coffey. The 'El Morro' desk was completed in 1974, shown at several exhibitions and in many publications before being sold in 1977. A true master work by renowned craftsman Michael Coffey. Made of Mozambique wood with swing out drawers and beautiful details.

The 'Matador I' desk chair was a custom commission with a higher back as requested by the client. The chair dates to 1977 when the desk was purchased. Correspondence letters between Coffey and the clients detail this exchange.

Both works are signed and sold with extensive documentation.
