Jack Zajac Bronze Sculpture, 'Tortured Goat'

Having won the prestigious Rome Prize in 1954, Californian Jack Zajac (b. 1929) moved to Italy where he left painting behind and became a sculptor. On his weekend travels throughout the Italian countryside he became fascinated with the goats he saw at every farm and village market and which, over the years, have become one of his primary sculptural inspirations. 'Tortured Goat' is casting number 6 in an edition of 6.
