Growing up in New York City, sculptor Michael Steiner (b.1945) began exhibiting his work when he was just 18 years old. Although he is known for his large scale works this 1978 small scale bronze titled 'Tordos' is just 8" high by 18" long by 6" deep. Mr. Steiner's work is represented in the permanent collections of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, Boston Museum of Fine Art, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden and the Centre Georges Pompidou among others.
